Chance for voice to be heard on en bloc sales


AMID the frenzy over en bloc sales, it is encouraging to find out that the Ministry of Law is holding a public consultation on proposed amendments to the en bloc sale legislation.

Members of the public have from April 2 to May 12 to send in their views on the proposed nine amendments.

I came across this information on a website and I believe everybody should know about it.

All the information one needs (including the consultation paper and the proposed draft amendments) can be found on the website

I have to admit that this place has pretty good compilation of enbloc information as well, which I do use to update the list (weekly whenever possible).

Most still think they live in the West, where Minority Interest is greater than the Majority Interest.

To keep the Minority Interest Happy, they let them speak and at the end of the day, Majority Interest comes first.

Do we want to live in a place where Minority Interest is greater than the Majority Interest?

If Yes please move to the West.
