Previously, there were some mentioning of machines at the speculated NS12 site.......

They are all gone and the area no diff at all.

Final BTO announced but still no news...will be under subscribe for sure, the previous few launches all very low take up rate, but they build anyway though.

Unless NS12 is announced take up will be one of the lowest of all BTOs...look at the yishun area BTOs.....lots of them all going to spring to life very very soon.

Think this NS12 is either a smoke screen or GE tactics or become lowest priority, expectation of any kind only leads to disappointment .... Though I would love to be proven wrong.....by hearing official announcement within next couple of months.....any other sound "convincing" inferred mentioning is a waste of time...

Past by the speculated site yesterday, there was a lifting machine parked right beside/under the mrt track. Previously, there was 2. Saw some men lifted to the track, sort of doing so survey.

    Nope! That's a soil tester isn't it?!

What I saw was a lifter, sorta like a crane, which bring the workers close to the track to do inspection or something similar.

Will try to take a picture these few days

Yup. It is a soil tester.

Or something like this, link to the sleeper replacement.

Hi bro, I dun think the Yishun bto take up rate is low at all. My sis in law could not get a slot the first time. Was lucky to get the second time. Seems quite a fair bit if interest.... And I seen works of mrt (transmission station) near gambas and mandai.. Dunno if that is for ns12...

Lol, you see the way government release land sites in Yishun and you know it's been using as a battle ground for everything, i.e. property, economy and politics.

    1. Property - ECs as measure to cool high end property and prop up prices of private property, i.e. last line of defence.

    2. Economy - Announcement of any MRT station will provide further support (only used as a trump card in worst circumstances), spurs development around the area and increase buying interests should it dip.

    3. Politics - Used as a carrot for the next GE elections. If this NS12 card is to be played, it better be played that results in good votes.

    I read you inside out.

Saw the machine today and it is not for sleeper replacement. This is the one i saw 2 weeks ago.

6 holes have been dug up (under & beside the track) for laying underground cables (1st stage) and certainly for the stn. The main utilities lines run along the main road (ave 2).

Right on spot! That's the machine! Pro888 you really impressed me with the vast knowledge you possessed. Impressive! You even counted the holes on site?!!! And knew the progress of the station. For layman, like myself, just have to wait for more of your inputs. Thanks!

Shouldn't there be a tender called for before actual laying of lines for station?

I have no idea about that. Maybe pro888 could answer that.

Anyhow, look at the application rate for semb bto!
I think it's the worst take up rate of all times. I can't imagine the blocks with so many vacant units. Quite scary! Really hope the announcement will spur demand for this part of singapore

    1. Comprehensive contract, subcon etc.
    2. Quantity or 2/3 years agreement. e.g HDB. You seldom/ will never come across hdb calling tender for soil test. They require it quite often for gls, bto & sers. Therefore, it is feasible for them to tender it in a more economical way. Unlike URA, less frequent and you're more likely to notice it.
    3. Description used during tender process and similar to pt 1 etc...

Ask ah neh. maybe they know something.
nonetheless, there are real works going on at site. spotted 3 machines today.

So it's a mistake to have remove the nice cooling forest which help to keep the air clean and cooling.

Now it's hot in the North and air quality sucks... compare to other regions in E, W, S & Central

And the poor birds and monkeys migrated into the HDB neighbourhood sharing space with HDB residences.

The link doesnt make a big change even if is completed as current routing from ave 1 to seletar west link still able to access TPE. The most crucial link is from Seletar west link to the rest of the TPE + yck rd.

LTA laying of cables. URA put up tender for design & construction of infrastructure. Both at the same time. Meaning the design & engineering
drawing of the station have already been completed by KTP consultants. Cadastral survey done.

Infrastructure most likely refers to the connecting road (vehicular bridge). One soil test borehole point was near Sapphire main gate. Forest will be cleared before any civil works on the station.

They can't conceal for long. Just wait for the big moment.

From all these works going on, are you able to tell where exactly the station would be located?

Nice pic. Thanks for your effort.

The main stn structure will be nearer to Sapphire for safety reason and also this is where the future neighbourhood ctr will be (opp) wrt draft masterplan. The design layout of Canberra link stn (Canberra lane) replicates that of Yishun (ave 5) or Khatib mrt (yishun ring) with access road to the stn for the maintenance crew etc.

More btos soon. I think only left 1 more plot of land for bto between ave 4 & ave 1 area.

Is it opp Shaughnessy Condo? if yes, then should b/w st 51 and yishun ave 1.
I forgotten where I saw the article but it was something like 02xcondo.

Just a few day ago, while jogging along ave 1, saw the end of the hoarding toward the "L bend" at yishun ave 1 removed, went to take a peek and saw a mini portion of yishun ave 8!!!

But surprisingly, ave 8 is pretty near to ave 6 which may suggest that yishun ave 8 is the border of yishun liao
