i think the quality of the furnishings seem a little on the poor side. anyone agree with me?

other than that, it seems like a pretty nice place.

The more I find out about The Palette, the more I like it...The big draw is tat its located at PASIR RIS...very far end..

I definitely have missed the project preview and the initial launch weeks, if I go in the market now, will I be at alot disadvantages?

went down to have a look. if you are particular about finishing, do note that all the living room floor options are tiles, including the design that looks like marble. also, the bedroom flooring is timber laminate, not timber, and all bathroom walls are tiles only.

FYI, finishing has 2 themes, one comes with parquet bedroom flooring the other is laminate. Can choose either one.

    "Parquet Laminates, Veneers, and Solids

Parquet laminates are the most inexpensive form of parquet flooring. Parquet laminates are faux-wood pieces attached to a base such as particle board. A clear, protective coating of plastic is applied to both sides. The floor is then sealed with heat and/or pressure, which completes the process of lamination.

Veneer parquet is a layer of solid wood between three and five millimeters thick. This veneer layer is glued and pressed onto a core panel of a different material, like plywood, and attached to the materials base. Veneer parquet floors can be finished and sanded with the usual techniques. They are easily repaired by light re-sanding.

Solid parquet is composed of completely solid wood, and is more expensive than parquet laminates or veneer parquet. The standard thickness of a solid parquet board is usually 1.5 cm or more. This thickness ensures that your solid parquet-based hardwood floor can be sanded repeatedly throughout its lifetime. The most common type of solid wood parquet is 5/16" thick in sheets 2' by 2' containing a repeating pattern. It's held together with a linen mesh backing or a removable paper facing."

Only if it's solid parquet then it's considered good finishing...

I find solid parquet hardest to maintain. They usu warp or scratch badly...

Didn't not know this - I stand corrected then.
I thought it was real marble and solid parquet.
And thanks for the write-up on the different parquets - good to know.

I actually find sea strand pricing on high side >950psf when I last visit their showroom despite FE provide quite gd finishings and interior for the project.
