I don't think I am lowering quality of life as I will be working less and spending more time with my children. I can also get a malaysian car and sell my singapore one which is costing me $2500 a mth when the RTS is up. This is different from the high speed rail from KL, so tickets are definitely cheaper. Heard news that construction is going to start next year.

i would not consider... i rather stay in a HDB than move there... i used to frequent JB a lot... play golf... the jam at the custom puts me off.. i think security is also a major concern.

some stuffs like foreign import fruits (apples, oranges) are still cheaper in SG than JB. my malaysian colleage told me.

Its so true... Living in a big landed house is not like it crack up to be. Too much maintenance. When u go on holiday, u must lock up the entire house and report to the security. In small apartment u just lock one door and its done. To maintain my house in Jkt I need a small army. Mopping the floor twice a day, painting the outside wall every 2 years, fixing the tile, roof and garden. Even servicing 5 units of aircon every 6 months is a pain.
