I have gone to Tools, Internet Options, then delete Browsing History but the Google Search Engine drop down box still has my visited sites.

If you are using Internet explorer, go to Safety, then Delete browsing history, then check the History box, then Delete.

Next time just open a new incognito window... then nothing will be recorded in your computer browser. ISP still has your records though.

Thank you. Just found out this page and is trying out, don't know whether it works or not.

Tools --> Internet Options ---> Settings ---> History ---> Days to keep pages in History ---> so I click 1 day

    Hope it works.

This method doesn't work. Found another one and it works.

Go to Search (near to Google Box), click on the "down" arrow key ---> Manage ---> General ---> then untick the "store search history on my computer".

Sorry, I can't find the safety box, so didn't try. My method is to remove all the search from Google search engine.
