I am just glad that what has been predicted all along is correct.
Those who vested in JG not knowing at that time if HSR is going to be built there, had taken a pretty big risk. If HSR goes to Tuas or Central, then JGD will be just another Yishun or Woodlands Regional Center.
The JGD will be the second CBD as PM Lee has now again officially announced and the HSR rightly serves the purpose of linking KL to the second CBD.

Is Jurong East going to prosperous just because it had a HSR terminal? Commuters only alight the train and take another transport to somewhere else. Who wants to shop Furniture malls where they can go somewhere better.
