    Default Awesome performance for City Gate - Residential but not commercial.

    According to this Property Guru report, City Gate residential is nearly sold out at around 99%.

    On the other hand, the commercial units are not doing so well since its launch in 2014. I believe this has to do with the location of this project which did not have adequate human traffic potential. Other than Haji lane, there is really not much going around this area.

    For those staying/renting there in the future, the shops will definitely be a plus for them. If there are too many empty commercial units, it might affect the residential pricing. There is nothing stopping the developer from renting the empty units out although they are being put for sale? How does it work?

    update on Citygate

    yes .. residential is almost fully sold
    we left with 4 "Suites on 30 collection" (AKA penthouse)

    below are the list
    3 bed PH (level 30) from $2,188,000 (starbuy) - $1799psf
    4 bed PH (levle 30) at $2,996,000 (starbuy) kampong glam view !! - $1,796psf

    retail shop (basement 1) from $1,241,000 (starbuy)

    retail shop (level 1 ) from $1,762,000
