Hello Neighbours! We've started receiving mailers from interior designers soliciting business. Must be getting close. We drive pass it almost everyday on the CTE but the photos shared here and on FB is fantastic for giving us the details that we missed. Looking forward to moving in next year - and maybe getting to know some of you. Cheers!

    The puzzle is complete.

Beacon Heights is made up of 3 parcels of land.

    23 Saint Michael's Road 327982
    Sun Crest
    Freehold
(the plot is now the tennis court)

    21 Saint Michael's Road 327980
    St Michael's Court
    Freehold
(the plot is now the main building where we will live in)

    18 Mar Thoma Road 328698
    Mutual Court
    999-year leasehold
(the plot where part of the 50m swimming pool, club house, gym and main entrance, children's pool are located)

Glimpse of how Sun Crest looked like. It is the only photo I can dig out online.

It is the old block between St Michael's condo and the Elysia.

    Reply from Kim Eng:

The likely TOP date will be by 1st quarter of 2012. Our main contractor are expediting the works on site and we hope to handover the site to the purchasers by 1st quarter.

Thank you for your kind understanding.

Kim Eng's reply after i wrote to ask about TOP date....

"As mentioned, the estimated TOP date is by end March 2012 and we are currently in the process of going through TOP inspection by the authorities.

The collection of keys by the residents is expected to be 4 - 5 weeks after TOP. We will expedite the process as much as possible."

    Hi all,

Glad that BH will be TOP soon. I have some queries with regards to my loan and hope to get some advice here.

I bought directly from the developer and hence the loan is by OCBC and the interest rate was very high a couple of years ago. I am allowed one FOC change of the loan package and will definitely exercise this option given the lower interest rates now. I have the following queries.

    1. I am not sure if I should continue with OCBC or to look around for other banks. My concern with going to other banks is the hassle of providing all the documents again for their assessment and approval.

    2. When can I start contacting OCBC with regards to the change? Is it upon TOP or must I wait for key collection?

    Thanks in advance.

Check with OCBC on refiniancing package. If it's not much different from other banks, stick with OCBC. You also need to take note of the fine prints in your existing OCBC loan. You will need to find out from OCBC if there is any penalties for moving to another bank.

You can also start talking to another bank. Bring along your OCBC loan contract & ask them if there is any penalties involved. Bank loan consultants will be able to provide you the right advise.

If you know the TOP is 1-2 month away, you need to talk to banks now as it will takes a few weeks to get the paperworks done.
