Thought CW owners are having issues with the quality of finishes by China Construction?

But had yet to see anyone post pics of the "plentiful" defects.

Not that I know of. For CW, mass market condo should expect mass market quality mah. If people go to visit luxury condo and then compare, then sure have lots of unsatisfaction with "quality of finishes" (as compared to the luxury condo) - E.g. The Hansgrohe premium range raindance shower shown in luxury condo also looks super shiny compared to those made in China ones in mass market condos (and I heard these will become loose their shine & even become rusty after 1-2 years!).

...which made me regret not buying the arte last year...luxurious marble, branded toilet, quality finishings that u will find in luxury condo...for only 860psf for a low floor stack 12 2-bedder. Was expensive then, ultra cheap now.

By Jonathan Peeris | Posted: 15 June 2010 1941 hrs

SINGAPORE : The Urban Redevelopment Authority has awarded the tender for the residential site at Upper Serangoon Road and Pheng Geck Avenue to Qingdao Construction.

The company submitted the highest bid of S$113.7 million, or about S$588 per square foot of gross floor area.

The tender was launched in April this year and closed two weeks ago.

A total of 15 bids was received for the site.

Other developers who submitted bids included Frasers Centrepoint and Sim Lian Land.

The 99-year lease site can yield a maximum gross floor area of some 17,400 square metres. - CNA/ms

i jus feel tat this developer may resort to MM format to push up the PSF....and den doesnt haf much effect on 8wood...

u see leicester suites ard 1300psf...not much effect on surrounding condos

think this is the developer's first foray into pte, think they may scarifice a bit of profits for their long term image.

BTW, does the holding of uncompleted units apply to them since they are foreign developer

    THE CHINESE ARE COMING!!!!

They are flush with cash with their inflated property prices.

They are able to built cheaper than anyone else (lots of cheap labour) but don't expect good workmanship.

Like as in HAIG 162 ?

But then i dunno where I read that the developer planning to build 160 units..
    Looks not that bad

Unless they up 25% more to 200 units, then probably close to that of Scala & LF...

Geez, i'm curious when will it be launched
