Super hole-in-one prizes at SICC charity golf

A SUPER drive at holes four and 11 at Singapore Island Country Club's (SICC) New Course on May 1 could just give a golfer the chance to score a super fast drive home.

AutoInc, together with AXA Insurance and Anika Insurance Brokers and Consultants, is sponsoring a 2012 McLaren MP4-12C worth $950,000 and a 2013 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG worth $600,000 at SICC's New Course, one of the club's four courses involved in their annual charity drive.

Says Ben Tan, owner of AutoInc: "It is unprecedented to have super cars as hole-in-one prizes in Singapore as normally brand-new cars are given away which require COE and tax. With these cars, if you win, you can drive home straight away as they are fully registered for Singapore roads."

He adds: "We are giving them away because it's a good cause and we have been involved in sports for a long time. This is good synergy between us and charity."

The SICC May Day Charity 2014, which has raised more than $17 million for charity since its inception in 1972, will take place across its four 18-hole layouts on May 1.
