You can catch a glimpse of it on the Concept Plan 2001 and that's about it in terms of how corporeal it can be.

Looking at the population, Yishun should deserve one.

Worst is Sembawang ..
LRT in Yishun...definitely after 2021 la....i tihnk 2030....LOL.
Here is the stats
http://www.singstat.gov.sg/pubn/popn/c2010acr/key_demographic_trends.pdf
Bedok will have 6 stations including ERL
Tampines will have 4 stations
Woodlands will have 6 stations
Jurong already got 6 stations
Hougang 2 stations
Yishun 2 stations - popluation will increase another 45000 approx. in few years. Excluding pte, if N5 fully developed, will add another 20000 approx. thus making it the most crowded town per station. :D
Worst is Sembawang ..
Yishun still ok. Got Yishun hub coming up. The connectivity between SAP & CTE & NSE along Sembawang Rd. Already have Safra & hopsital.
Everything missed gg to Sembwang. TSL..NSE.

LRT initially planned will run to Simpang.
Yes. 2030 & beyond. Have to wait for few other yet to develop towns first & currently, govt also intensify the use of land in the existing towns as the infrastructure already available.
So inorder to hasten this process, support the FT policy:D

So u think which area would need it more? :p
And if u look at the current MRT map, you can see where it is lacking...:2cents:
