    Default Any impact on Removal of BLP (Bridging Loan Programme)

    Read about this in paper today that BLP will be removed wef 1 Feb. How does this going to impact the property market?

    Really? Should not have any effects. How many use bridging loan anyway?

    Why remove? Isn't bridging loan supposed to help HDB upgrader's to upgrade to private property or switch HDB by allowing them to buy first then sell their existing HDB? Discourage people from upgrading to mass market condo or change HDB flat?

    removal of bridging is for corporate entity?

    Who needs this bridging loan most? Most of them could be HDB upgraders to mass market condo.
    It become more obvious that Government wants to stop the mass market price rise with recent cooling measure & removal of this Bridging loan.

    It is only for corporate entity and not residential. I think at some point alot of house hunter still need bridging loan to tie over. Otherwise alot of agents, banks and lawyers eat grass.

    Majority are asset rich but cash poor.
