Default to beat a dead horse - voting slips

hi, any more disputes about who won in GE 2011?
If not, why are voting slips still kept in High Court Vault where nobody to monitor them.

Any reasons for keeping them for 6 months or more?

one explanation is it is procedure. Yes it is procedure.
If I dont remembered wrongly, the recount continued until both parties are satisfied correct? Once declared winner, the losing candidates be it PAP or otherwise, doesnt dispute the results down the road, like 5 months later.
Any record of it happening in Singapore history?

Is 6mths or more necessary? What does above logic tells you? Is your vote really secret?

Ask the right questions and don't make unnecessary assumptions.
Sorry I can't ask at Meet People Session.
