    Default Townhouse and Landed house

Was looking at this development called Platina Gardens in Yishun.
What is the difference between a townhouse and a landed house?
Platina Gardens does not have any facilities like a condo, so was wondering if there is any maintenance fees and is there a mcst.
Although Platina Gardens is a townhouse, it really looks like a landed house from the front.
It is also cheaper than a landed house.

No facilities but still got common areas eg driveway, bin centre, common areas lighting etc...townhouse got. MCST, got management fee and got share values and governed by strata title acts.

Was looking at the unit. Does not have anything in common. Really looks like a landed house.
Was wondering why the developer did not build landed house instead?
