HUDC flat sold for record $1.1 million in Shunfu estate
A 1,668 sq ft apartment on a high floor of Block 315 in Shunfu Road has been sold for $1.1 million.
This translates to $659 per square ft, in a transaction that was approved in July, before the government's cooling measures took effect in August 30.
This sets a record high in Bishan for this kind of phased-out Housing and Development Board (HDB) project, which does not offer condominium-like facilities.
The flat had been valued at $900,000 - which means the buyers paid cash-over-valuation (COV) of $200,000.
Both buyer and seller are Singaporean.
Yup.. really don't understand the concept of privatization... everything is still hdb... from the void deck arrangement to the facet of the building. I wouldn't want to pay a premium for a PC that looks exactly like public housing.
