Default Mr Cheapskate 'Top 10 Tips' Guide to Condo Living in 2012

In preparation of tough times ahead, the following advice from Mr Cheapskate will prove useful.

    1. Wash your laundry in the kids pool middle of the night
    2. Use the common toilet to save water
    3. Take water from the pool for washing. Especially recommended for ground floor units
    4. Get to know all neighbours and be invited to their bbq and housewarming, baby showers, weddings, funeral etc so you get free food in return for helping out to set up/clean up
    5. Go to the aircon gym when weather too hot, or soak in pool/jacuzzi
    6. Recycle stuff thrown away by neighbours if still usable (dont let the cleaner beat you to it)
    7. Dont turn on the lights at night if your unit is near the complex lighting or on ground floor. If need to read, go gym or sit by poolside where there is good lighting
    8. Charge all your laptop, mobile phones, clocks, radios using the common area power points
    9. Put pails out to collect rainwater for more potable usage
    10. (The most power one) Grow potato and tapioca and papaya etc for food using the common landscape soil/ground if you dont have planter
    11. (Bonus tip! Being Cheapskate, definitely got xtra) Rent out your car park lot by the hour, especially if there are popular or busy estates/commercial business around

Partition your condo to 3 sections i.e. self-constructed triple-key units instead of dual-key units LOL. charge $2,000 per tenant, min $6000 p.m into.

Use chairs that can move from one room to other, tables that stack and free standing bookcases that can serve as room dividers.
