    Default Lessons from Tiny Tower

Many of you might be familiar with this game. Actually there are a few learning points we can appreciate and perhaps adopt:

    1. Mixed use projects do not need to sell out to start construction.
    2. Commercial units may not always need to be sited on ground level.
    3. As each floor gets completed, it is put up for sale. If presold or once sold, proprietors and tenants may move in for occupation.
    4. In the true sense of the word Occupation, occupiers may also work in the businesses sited on other floors.
    5. As an ecosystem, the building/project is rather self sufficient and people work, live and play. They get paid working in it, and spend the earned monies there as well. They work there, eat there, exercise there, entertain there and sleep there.
    6. Authorities will be happy that the project does not need to wait till 5 years before launched/TOP, and will be happy to work closely with developer to grant TOP level by level (while construction is still ongoing on the upper floors) - feasibility a question
    7. As espoused by the game, logically, lobby forms the foundation, resi gets built first, then storage, then businesses, alternating with resi, recreation, supply, food, etc.
