Default Stay in Condo for FREE!

A PROPERTY developer is offering a family the chance to live for free for six months in a fully furnished condominium unit in Kovan.

It acts as a test bed of sorts for Koh Brothers, which hopes to gather useful feedback on 'lifestyle living', as opposed to just selling an unfurnished unit.

To apply, they will also have to submit a 100-word essay on why they deserve the 'best experience in life'

however I think that such concept is flawed, as most family in Singapore have a permanent living area, and that not many would be willing to leave their house for such a short period of time.

Any way for those who may be interested I read bout it HERE

Do you have a family with young desirable kids?
    If have, got chance.
    If not, no chance.

The photos for the advertisement won't looked nice.. hehe

Perhaps more FT with family here will rush to apply and try to get 6mths rent free...; doubt they can get many locals to uproot from where they are living to try for 6mths especially if the kids are already in proper schools.

Not many people would want to uproot their home and stay for 6 months only.
If they say stay for 1 year then it may be more attractive as you can let out your own home to stay in this one.

So how furnished will the unit be? The article only mentioned a bed and a table. But a difference of $200k in selling price suggests a lot into the furniture or most will go into the ID? The successful family must have only 3 members. Why the restriction? 4 members can?

Wow.. I wonder how the feedback session will turn out to be.. 867sqf living space only.. Such a vig roof terrace.. The profile they should look for should be 2 pax and 1 big doggie..haha. Doggie can stay in roof terrace with his own doghouse and yard to run about. Hee Hee

I think most ppl who rent such shot term lease tend to be in the process of looking for new homes.

As we know Singapore's home ownership exceed 90%

Runaway must go into hiding. Staying there will be free publicity so will be easily caught. Also, maids and banglas must have a kid together before they qualify for that free accommodation.

    100 applicants!!?

    By Romesh Navaratnarajah:

More than one hundred applicants (pictured) turned up at Koh Brothers’ office during a four-hour window period this past Saturday to submit their 100-word essay on ‘Why we deserve the best experience in life’, part of the developer’s commitment to collect feedback from “real users” of the “Concept Home”.

“The enthusiastic response to Concept Home was a pleasant surprise for us,” said Francis Koh, Managing Director and Group Chief Executive of Koh Brothers Group.

“It affirms that our aim to provide a signature lifestyle with Big ideas for Smaller spaces is going in the right direction. We want to obtain feedback so that we may incorporate some of these ideas to further fine-tune and improve our future developments, as we continue to take the lead in defining the standard for new urban lifestyle.”

Aside from offering the winning family a free-stay at its Fiorenza condo development for six months starting in June this year, the developer will also bear all utility and maintenance bills.

Some of the innovative features of the Concept Home include space optimisation ideas – from Italian imported electric-operated coffee cum dining table, 3D contemporary wall decoration and motorised sun screen technology, to SONOS advanced multi-room surround sound system and high-end ‘Cabrio In’ range of designer study/work furniture.

Koh Brothers launched the unique Concept Home at Fiorenza on 7 May.

Well, if they let the unit sit there, they may also not be able to sell it off. So just convert to marketing expense....

However is no doubt that they would choose the potential buyer to be the winner.

the assay could be in the form of a cheque, titled "payable to Koh Brothers" - a deposit for the apartment?
