Frasers to manage Yanlord's China project

THE recently-listed Yanlord Land Group yesterday said it has appointed Frasers Hospitality to manage its maiden service residence project in Nanjing City, China.

The tie-up marks Yanlord's foray into service residences and is part of a larger plan by the China-based group to grow an additional and recurrent revenue stream.

A Yanlord announcement yesterday said the project will be marketed as Frasers Suites Nanjing. The development is part of the Yanlord International Apartment project in Nanjing's Hexi New Urban Area, Nanjing. Yanlord International Apartment will comprise both the service residence project and high-end residential property.

The 210-apartment Frasers Suites Nanjing is scheduled for completion in 2007. It will be the first internationally managed service residence in the Hexi New Urban Area.

The project is designed to cater to expatriates and their families. Yanlord says the amenities and services will be aimed specifically at extended-stay travellers and their families. Facilities will include broadband Internet access, baby-sitting services, an indoor Olympic-size swimming pool, games and a children's playroom.
