there is a spike in both 1 month and 3 month rates. also, heard from the mkt that bank interest going up next week. those that are taking up loans, dun drag your feet too long.

on this topic, do check out CIMB loans. they have an interesting structure where 3/4th year onwards interest rates are lower than first 2 years. so if you dun intend to re-finance, this is an interesting package.

Your one is probably from a specific bank. Mine taken from MAS, which is the average. You will see this message
Interbank rates are the closing offer rates quoted by money brokers.
    on the MAS page.

MAS doesn't set the interest rate in Singapore, it influences the rate by its intervention of SGD rate.

It is also a misconception that Fed sets the banks' interest rate. No, it just sets the Fed Fund rate based on the prevailing interest rate that banks are charging.

In any case, if the rate moves in Singapore, then it shows firstly on the shorter term 1-month rate.

Just notice this topic. to OP: your numbers are wrong. what "newbie11" gave is correct. e.g. sibor3M for month Nov so far are all 0.37917 no change at all.

SIBOR is a ABS *fixing*, nothing to do with MAS.
