2-bedder (non-DK) have to share the shower room.

Soon the HDB upgraders will realise their folly in upgrading. They are paying for amenities they might not need and sacrificing their space. Is it really an UPGRADE? Can we coin another term for it? Something which is a hybrid of UPgrade and DOWNsize.
You can hardly swing a cat in these new condos. You will have to hang your cat/dog from the ceiling. Construct a cage which you can hoist up and down.

If you go to show flat, please bring your measuring tape. Isn't it time the developers put the real measurements on the floor plans?

Yes good advice from sis here. My friend bought mezzo from floor plan seems alright but when move in then realise mbr can't fit the queen bed nicely. since master br at HDB is 1k per month with attached bathroom, Hotel 88 style studio at TM MRT should be min 1.5k-1.8k, 2k might be a bit of stretch for such small rabbit holes
