Seems like it is still better to own a freehold than lease hold in current CM.

It is always better to own a freehold than leasehold in any situation, if both having same conditions. (ie, price, size, location etc)

This is especially true when you are waiting for upcoming mrt stns, malls, etc. The wait can sometime be more than 10years and your property will have 10-year lease lesser.

this is a given..........rarely both will have the same price points, if all else are equal
