My brother sold his condos and downgraded to one bedroom condos as all his three children were married and moved out from parent house. His proceed after minus of the price of MM still have around one mil and plus some saving of $300k, so total he had around 1.3 mil. What can he do with this fund as he doesn’t have to depend on this money for his retirement? One of his friend suggested he can buy a small plot of free hold land. But where to find land sale and is it a good idea?

Go Singapore land authority to search if any land tender for landed houses coming soon.
But 1.3m budget can't get any freehold land in Singapore.
A 3 bedder LH99 eg Estary in yishun costs ard 1.2m+- liao.
