    That seems to make sense as Elias Mall is quite old and run down. Just that The new line is 2030, so far away, can't imagine how the mall will be by then

    In my opinion, mrt station more likely near vue 8 location...the forested SAF part

    I am referring to the MRT track. I feel that it will be on Stratum side rather then on the HDB side.

    NTUC Club has announced that it will invest $200 million over the next five years to revamp Downtown East, Singapore.



    SAFRA, or the Singapore Armed Forces Reservists Association, said that it will add a six-storey multi-entertainment centre in the city and a new club in Punggol over the next three years.

    SAFRA will build a new club in Punggol, which will be completed in 2015. The club, which will be developed with an estimated budget of SGD50 million ($40 million), will be built on a one-hectare plot of land with a waterfront pedestrian promenade near the Punggol MRT Station.

    At Downtown East in Pasir Ris, the former Escape Theme Park site will be making way for a bigger Costa Sands Resort. The resort will be expanded from three hectares to 3.8 hectares approximately about the size of five football fields and will house 400 rooms. A meeting and conference facility which includes a multi-purpose hall that can host up to 3,000 people will also be built.Work at Downtown East is expected to start in the last quarter of the year, with the entire project slated for completion in the latter half of 2017.

    NTUC such huge investment at DTE explain everything, in future not only for family but also for company events/conf etc that can hold upto 3000 people. I think they already know where the MRT station going to be

    Future neighbors,

    Anyone knows when the building works will start? Saw on the architect website that it will be completed mid 2015. But information from developer is dec 2016. Wonder which is more accurate?

    Canit wait to see some progress on the site....

    I think the possibility is there given it has only 380 units with low rise design, private condo, developer first residential project and selling pretty fast which left only the suits..

    With all the facts mentioned, it should complete by mid to end 2015.

    There are a total of 15 units returned in July based on news some days ago, mainly due to MAS's the debt servicing ratio framework. Similar are observed in other new developments. But Stratum is the one with the highest no. of returned units. Seems that those vested in Stratum are more financially stretched.

    Sorry, no idea. You may want to check with the agent who is marketing Stratum. If not wrong, it's by SLP. Given the number returned is not small, there is possibility that some 3 bedders are returned. who knows?

    Default Show flat closed for renovation - Reopen 2 Sept

    Passed by the show flat today and saw the entrance to the site closed. A notice was placed informing that the show flat is closed for renovation till 2 Sept. Maybe redoing the show flat to market the suites and remaining units.

    马来西亚希望新马第三通道建在柔佛东南部的边佳兰,或将衔接我国东部樟宜区。

    我国与马来西亚目前主要靠柔佛长堤和第二通道往来,早在90年代,马方就曾提出兴建第三座衔接大桥的建议,但计划多年来断断续续,未有确切行动。

    2009年,马国首相纳吉访问新加坡,再次提起计划,宣布两国同意考虑在柔佛东南部边佳兰一带兴建第三座大桥。

    If the 3rd custom is to built at changi area, would this be a good news to those staying in the east side?

    Quite a few of the suites/1 bedroom units were sold since the show room was re opened...the suite show flat looks very nice. Will post a pic tonight
