    trust me although you don't know me personally, and i mean it with the deepest of convictions with sincere thousand apologies to the iskandar enhusiasts - please don't. You will regret it. rental is nonexistent or very poor, environment is horrible, quality is shite, huge oversupply, unreasonably high tax regimes, sinking RM, i could go on. overall shite place. it looks cheap but only on paper. Loan is at 4-5% p.a so eats into any "appreciation " you may (fancifully) project.

    remember teddybear and his two years cannot find tenant?
    that's Iskandar, not singapore.

    Yup he's right! Never buy into Iskandar with an investment mindset. Cannot make money out of it.

    U buying for investment, or for self stay?
    Iskandar is damn big. You need to know the place and neighbourhood well, to even ascertain where is worth sinking a cent for self stay. A lot of places are simply built for attracting foreign suckers to buy. Far from amenities and everything else.

    Too bad no money to buy, thinking of getting a unit for self-stay.

    Being to one of the Iskandar show flat during one of my holiday in Singapore.



    and also forest city.

    but prefer the RF princess Cove got MRT to Singapore.

    i didn't want to say it, but you said it for me. foreigner suckers. aka singaporeans. it's a big plan to sponge off singaporeans. stay away even if you find yourself itching to buy one of those landed property that looks nice in brochures only.

    In fact, I have done the review of Malaysia properties (Penang, KL and Islankar) back in 2011-2013

    The problems now facing by all the buyers there (other than the huge residential land and good commercial properties with rental), are far more complex.

    The owners may just simply abandon the properties and do not want to service the loans or maintain the properties further. This most likely will happen within five years.

    All of them are having serve negative cash flow.

    U need to think about cut loss.

    Just wonder with your negative cash flow and retiree status, how to?

    thanks for your concern, laguna, but iskandar (aka rebranded "to scam singaporeans" JB ) was never my cup of tea, even when every other person here was talking about it a few years back. don't like the location.

    With all the CMs what else can I do other than talking?

    When I am not talking most likely no more 10 years left or busy buying property.

    Actually almost bought a French property while I was in France, good experience.
