I hope the supermarket is a decent size. It will save my dad the journey to Kovan. He is aged 83 with replacements in both knees but still wants to take the bus to Kovan to save on the taxi fare! Lucky for him they built a BIG overhead bridge with ramp as well as stairs for him to cross Upp Paya Lebar Road. Just nice for a grandpa with stiff knees to get up and down.
sis chiaberry, what attracts your dad to kovan? is it he meeting friends there or is there absolutely rare food find i dunno about...

It is walkable to Bartley MRT. There are 2 new overhead bridges on this stretch of Upp Paya Lebar Road. And I see people taking "shortcut" to cut the corner of the Bartley Rd/Upp Paya Lebar Road junction to get to the MRT.Originally Posted by ascend88

My dad says he prefers to take the bus down Upp Paya Lebar Road to the Paya Lebar MRT rather than walk to Bartley or Tai Seng. It's easier on the legs.
