    Default @!^#%&@^% NDP Song

can we pay mr brown to write our next NDP song, instead of having another army general waste $$ on paying pro songwriters who come up with crappy tunes?

Mabbe when we look back 10 years later, we may have fond memories of this year's NDP song.
I feel that every song has its own charm.
Its just that some of us haven't got used to it yet.

this year's song really cannot make it. 70-80% of the song ranges only within 5 notes, while using 3/4 chords.......

it's at best - amateurish. pales, by light years, compared to classics like Home, Count on Me Singapore or even Stand Up for Singapore

5 note song can be very nice.

faye wong la zha bor song is a very good example.

    I agree it sounds amateurish.
It sounds like a school choir to me.
But it is the simplicity that may be charming.
I personally haven't got used to the song yet.

    all our classics are simple

    • we are singapore, we are singapore, we will stand together hear the lion roar
    • believe in yourself you have something to share, show us all you really care, join in like you've never done before
    • this is home truly, as my senses tell me

this year's song is just written really badly. trust me, try singing it 3 months later and see if you can remember the tune
