    Dear Bros and Sis,

Anybody know the pros and cons of the areas/property types below.

    1) Ledang East : Townhouse. Approx 2500 sft. Low rise(only 3 units per blk). Price approx RM 1.1 Mil. TOP 2015. Deferred payment scheme. Only 100units or so. Full condo facilities

    2) Horizon Hills: Resale Double storey terrace house. Renovated. 820k.

    2) Horizon Hills: Brand new double story terrace house. TOP 2015. RM1 Mio. No deferred payment scheme (progressive payment).

No concrete plans of buying yet, but doing market research. All the above are FH.

    Thanks

Horizon Hills' unique selling point is that it is built amidst a golf course and also has a (I heard) Olympic sized swimming pool. It is one of a kind. Have not heard of any other like it. Puteri Harbour with its yacht club is also unique. So these USPs appeal to certain people ie the atas/upper class/well-heeled/those who would like to think so ie yuppies. So the demand is there....Singapore has lack of golf courses and it is out of reach of many to live in Keppel/Sentosa , so this makes it an appealing and cheaper alternative. It is a lifestyle choice really....imagine going home to a home with a golf view(Horizon Hills) or to a bungalow or semidetached with an in built pool (East Ledang) or to a condo with a marina view (PH), it is very nice and relaxing and people are proud to own such properties or rent them, that is why there is a demand and premium....

Bukit Timah has cracking walls with the on-going MRT lines and Singapore for all you know may really be slowly "sinking" with all the floods and overbuilding...that is why people in other forums refer to us as Sinkapore....a very real possible scenario in 30 to 50 years time perhaps, another reason , why I want to diversify out of Singapore...

    So true Mummy..

Actually Im really keen on Horizon Hills as well, but the only thing is the surrounding Bukit Indah area which is kind of "chaotic"...Lots of mixed development, cheaper housing, motorbikes etc...Having said that, there are lots of amenities around...However, once you're in Horizon Hills, it feels like you're transported to a different country.....great maintenance of the area and a very "atas" feel.

Ledang East is far more exclusive and quiet, but it comes at a significantly higher price...... But as rightly pointed out, the townhouses come with maintenance fees, which Im sure will not be low...

Now need to explore the commute to drive back and fourth...see can tahan not

Yup its Ophiria...really like the concept, but indeed looks like high maintenance....Having said that, I think the price is not bad for Ledang East area.... It is so much nearer to the second link and just next to Edu City...

I think demand is not high. Still have units left.
