The future belongs to Queenstown. Queenstown is the oldest housing estate in Singapore......and our link to one of our colonial masters.

I expect future URA plan announcements for this estate...

According to masterplan, its pretty much a residential zone.

I doubt there is any interest in our government to glorify our colonial master.

Just strolled past the show flat and popped in for a look. Boy was it a mad house with elbow room only. Overall equipment level looks good (ie. natural marble, wood parquet floorings & balcony with glass panes). Pricing levels is estimated to be between 1500 to 1600 psf though.

Some units facing the mrt track is quite bad - about 30m. Can be very noisy.

Surrounding not much amenities by walking. Noticed they indicate key amenities minutes by drive.

Furnishing is not bad. If you like marble, they provide marble for living/dining and bathroom even for the 1 BR.

J gateway average psf is 1450psf. Better in terms of capital gain or rental yield? Or is it just better because you think it's better?

So what was the reason for the showflat turning into "feng ren yuan"?

seriously if 1br psf is as per what some members were told and depending on how those bigger br units psf pan out...

it's a very instinctive gut feel that those who rush in just before TDSR must be having mixed feelings and to a lesser extend anguish...

hope these hdb upgraders have deep pockets to ride out for at least 10-15years...

    845units sharing one tennis court.

2 towers. 420 units per a tower of 43 storeys

That works out to 10 units per floor

    More congested than hdb?

Heard Reflections with >1000 units already facing challenges on facilities but land area much larger than this CT?

Wait till d leedon is up. Private swimming pool will be more like a public pool. Good thing is we locals hardly swim.

SINGAPORE - A flood of potential buyers prompted Hong Leong Holdings to extend the opening hours for the first-day preview of its new Commonwealth Towers on Sunday.

The developer pushed back the closing time from 8pm to 10pm to accommodate the more than 1,500 people who turned up at the showflat in Margaret Drive. The preview started at 12 noon.

Many of those who attended the preview put their names down to indicate their interest in the development so that marketing agents could follow up with them.

The 99-year leasehold condominium of two 43-storey blocks comprises mostly one- and two-bedders and will be linked to Queenstown MRT station by an overhead pedestrian linkway.

If 2 bedroom 965,000 is true, that will be very attractive price in Queentown area.

I went to see the 2-bedrm showroom.
The layout and furnishing is a joke.

Balcony area is bigger than living hall area.
Ceiling height only 2.8m, typical EC ceiling height.

    Aircon is panasonic brand (cheap).
Bedrm flooring is laminated timber, not parquet, cannot choose color for bedrm flooring.

    Buy if you like Queenstown.

Well, for this site, it's all about location location location. Nothing else really matters. If they price themselves below JG, sure will do reasonably well.

Nowadays, the newer condos are just 2.8m in height, but floor-to-real ceiling! If include false ceiling become 2.6m!

highly unlikely this will happen. the cheapest, lousiest facing, lowest floored, bigger units will go at 1400+.

It really depends on how well they want to sell. My point was mainly on lowering prices to match budget of the buyers.

    Hi SmallAngle,

Yes our indicative pricing for the lowest floor starts from $965k from certain stack/stacks. Actual pricing of each unit will only be released on actual booking day. Definitely for investment point of view, such pricing is irresistible.
