THE Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) and the Housing & Development Board (HDB) are releasing two sites, which are expected to yield about 1,000 units, under the H2 2014 Government Land Sales Programme.

The first is a residential with first storey commercial site at Upper Serangoon Road. It has been launched for sale under the Confirmed List. The 99-year leasehold plot has a site area of about 10,097.2 square metres, and has permissible gross floor area of about 30,292 sq m. The maximum building height for the site is part three-storey, part five-storey. It is expected to yield about 340 housing units. The tender for the site will close at 12 noon on Nov 13.

The second site, a residential plot at Dundee Road, will be made available for sale on the Reserve List from Thursday. The 10,516.1 sq m site has maximum gross floor area of about 51,529 sq m. The 99-year leasehold plot is expected to yield 645 units.

The Dundee one will be interesting. May put some price pressure on Commonwealth Towers and their buyers if eventual bid is comparatively lower under current weak market.
