Hmm, my agent also told me that, partial furnish will do but by the time I met this agent, I had already got everything ready except a bed for another room. Luckily, my tenant accepts whatever it is in the unit and requests for an additional single bed only.
My friend's ang mo tenant was very fussy. He wanted my friend to remove all the newly bought furnitures, like study table, sofa bed, TV console and coffee table, reason being that he doesn't like the colours, he wanted black for the TV console and coffee table. So my friend asked him to go and buy himself, budget would be the same as what my friend had bought earlier, any extra, the tenant had to top up himself.
Depending on the type of property you are renting out especially if it's a pretty high end devt you either furnish it with quality and tasteful furnishings else I would say u r better off leaving it unfurnished.
Some owners will get an ID to do up the place for another 25-30k for a two bedder apt. However, they only rent out for another $1000 more than a partial furnish unit. Payback period is 30 months. Not worth it. Still prefer partial furnish as different tenants have different taste.Do not save on curtain and light fixtures. It makes a different to the place. Old unit should have a fresh coat of paint before allow for viewing.
