    Expected that... question is whether the RTS linking JB and Singapore will be scrapped as well...

    Not exactly bad news for Singapore, especially on the real estate front. But those who bought into the HSR hype at Melaka, Gerbang or even KL, will see themselves stuck for a while to come.

    I see those bus/coach companies plying the north south route to be the happiest for now.

    On the property front, those in JLD will still see upside but the curve might be less steep. In the meantime, the developers and re-sale owners might need to adjust some expectations. 100% sold Parc Riveria at that kind of speed will be harder to achieve.

    URA will be working overtime to come up with alternatives with HSR gone but it is never beyond them to see alternatives. We are one of the best in the region when it comes to urban planning. Fear not.

    Large empty plots like the Jurong Country Club slated for the terminus will be harder to plan for.
