    Default Buying Attitude Index - Q1 2019

    Why this index?In Singapore, there is no official buyer-driven (not developer-driven) index to show Buyers' Attitude for investment residential properties. This forum might be the best place to fill in that gap.How does it work?Everyone is entitled for one vote, the index is calculated by:the percentage of bulls - percentage of bears(Please vote even if you are neutral because it will change the overall percentage scores).Historical Numbers:Quarter, Votes, IndexQ4 2012, 65, +12Q1 2013, 35, +6Q2 2013, 56, 0Q3, 2013, 59, -34Q4, 2013, 53, -45Q1, 2014, 45, -33Q2, 2014, 43, -44Q3, 2014, 48, -19Q4, 2014, 29, +14Q1, 2015, 29, +7Q2, 2015, 20, +15Q3, 2015, 16, +56Q4, 2015, 7, +28Q1, 2016, 12, +34Q2, 2016, 16, +32Q3, 2016, 16, +81Q4, 2016, 11, +64Q1, 2017, 14, +21Q2, 2017, 13, +77Q3, 2017, 15, +60Q4, 2017, 9, +78Q1, 2018, 9, +100Q2, 2018, 8, +75Q3, 2018, 10, 0Q4, 2018, 7, +28(The max of the index is 100, the minimum of the index is -100)This year is tricky: at the brink of a long waited financial crisis ... or another year of reasonable return? Your vote will give us a hint. Thanks,Richard

I manually added " br " at the end of each line. And now it works.

    by DBS:

At the assumed primary market transaction volume of 7,500-8,500 annually, the market absorption rate is estimated to be c.5.1x when compared against the supply of close to 41,000 units (11,000 units from unlaunched phases from existing projects and another 30,000 from projects that have yet to hit the market). At absorption rates of >3.0x, we typically have seen weakness in property prices.
