Buyers snap up 25 units of Luxus Hills landed development

Strong sales lead Bukit Sembawang Estates to end previews, close showhouses and pace out release of remaining inventory

PROPERTY developer Bukit Sembawang Estates sold 25 of its 39 remaining units in its landed development Luxus Hills (Contemporary Collection) at an average selling price of S$2,060 per square foot (psf).

Amid the Covid-19 virus outbreak, the developer offered a limited release of the final phase of its 999-year leasehold development at the Seletar Hills estate via private previews.

Aside from having scheduled viewings to control the size of the crowds, other precautionary measures include temperature checks for visitors, travel declarations at registration and ramping up the cleaning of the showhouses.

The developer said that there was "strong interest" from many buyers who had previously expressed interest in an earlier phase of the development - the Luxus Hills (Signature Collection) - last year.

The 39 landed houses include 30 inter-terraces, six corner terraces, a pair of semi-detached homes and one villa, with sizes ranging from 150 square metres (sqm) to 566 sqm, with a built-up area of 344 sqm to 560 sqm. Prices start from S$3.3 million for inter-terraces.

The homes include a private lift, parking space for two vehicles as well as smart home features.

Ho Jenny, general manager (marketing), said: "With the strong sales garnered thus far, previews will end today and showhouses will be closed. With the health and well-being of the current residents at Luxus Hills being the utmost priority, we will pace out the release of our remaining inventory."

Buyers were offered a deferred payment scheme, as was also the case for Luxus Hills (Signature Collection). Under the Stay & Pay Scheme, buyers have to put down a 20 per cent downpayment before they are able to move in, while the reservation scheme required a 10 per cent deposit.

Shares in Bukit Sembawang closed at S$4.55 on Friday, down two cents.
