It's quite scary when a person becomes so rich that he runs out of dreams.

Luckily I haven't reached this stage yet.

I still have some dreams unfulfilled ...

But Property_Owner has already gone past this stage.

Do you think Property_Owner might be Jet Li in disguise?

    Channel NewsAsia 18 November, 2009

During the dialogue session, while Li was encouraging the younger generation to create their own dreams, the Asian superstar ironically admitted that he does not have any dreams left to fulfill.

“I do not have any more dreams because I have already found my answer to the various issues in life such as time, space, universe, material comforts, the environment and life. Since I understand their existence and disappearance, I realise that there isn’t anything else left to do and there isn’t a need for me to have dreams,” said the actor.

Tiger Woods’ devastated wife has called in California’s top celebrity divorce lawyer, say her friends.

And Elin Nordegren – rocked by her husband’s string of alleged affairs – could get half the £337.5million he has earned in the 5 years they have been married.

The 29-year-old Swedish model, seen out in Florida yesterday minus her wedding ring, is believed to be meeting celebrity lawyer Sorrell Trope next week.

Trope, 82, a partner in Californian law firm Trope and Trope, has represented big-name stars including Cary Grant, Nicole Kidman, Nicolas Cage and Britney Spears in a 60-year career.

And in another blow to Woods, Elin is believed to be planning to file for divorce in California – where the couple have a home – and not Florida, where they live.

Under California law the “no-fault divorce”, introduced in 1970, means there is an equal division of assets and property.

This could mean that any pre-nup agreement Elin signed with the golf star will be torn up.

A source said: “Mr Trope is the best divorce lawyer in the business and the divorce laws in California are much more favourable than most other states.

“Elin can fight for half of what her husband has earned since they were married. And Trope can bust through any pre-nup – he’s done it many times before.”

Last night, when asked if he was representing Woods’ wife as her divorce lawyer, Trope replied: “Not right now.”

Friends say Elin will spend Christmas in Orlando with the couple’s children, daughter Sam Alexis, two, and son Charlie Axel, 10 months, before filing for divorce in the New Year.

Woods has not been seen in public since smashing up his £35,000 Cadillac in the early hours of November 27.

Since then, 13 women, including porn stars, cocktail waitresses and lingerie models, have been linked with the golfer.

Yesterday, Woods faced further embarrassment over a TV interview recorded on November 17 and originally scheduled to be broadcast on Christmas Day.

Speaking on the Sky Network in New Zealand, Woods said his family has “been the best thing that ever happened” to him.

The 33-year-old was then asked: “Family first and golf second – always be like that?”

    Woods answered: “Always.”

YTL's Sentosa Cove development sees 5Ö% take up rate
    Jonathan Peeris
    Channel NewsAsia
    Wednesday, 6 January 2010, 1757 hrs

    Kasara - The Lake

Malaysia-based YTL Corporation is officially launching "Kasara - The Lake", a collection of 13 luxury villas in Singapore's Sentosa Cove.

6 of the 13 villas previewed have already been bought by buyers from Singapore, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region at prices ranging from S$14 million to S$22 mïllïön.

Villas range in sizes from 9,000 sqft, with two good-sized parcels of more than 14,000 sqft.

Kasara is the only residential property in Sentosa Cove with views of the lake and the world-class Serapong golf course.

Margaret Thean, managing director of property consultancy DTZ, said the high take up rate of the development during the preview demonstrates the optimism of market sentiment and confidence in Singapore's lüxüry property sector.

She added that market sentiment will be further strengthened with the completion of developments around the Marina Bay Financial Centre (MBFC) and the 2 iconic integrated resorts (ÏRs) later this year.

Property sales pïck üp again at Sentosa Cove in 2009
    The Business Times
    Thursday, 14 January 2010

After a muted 2008, property sales at Sentosa Cove picked üp again in 2009 as buyer interest returned to the hïgh-ënd and lüxüry segments of Singapore’s property market.

According to data compiled by Savills Singapore, 125 non-landed and 33 landed homes were sold on the island in 2009, up from 67 non-landed units and just 5 landed homes in 2008.

And more homes worth more than $10 million apiece were also sold on the island last year. Savills’ data shows that 30 homes worth $10 million and more were sold at Sentosa Cove in 2009, compared to just one such property in 2008 and 15 during the height of the property boom in 2007.

Developers and analysts say that with the global economy picking up, förëïgnërs are once again looking to büy properties on the island.

Sentosa Cove is the only place in Singapore where foreigners can own landed property without special permission.

‘Sentosa Cove with its unique lifestyle offerings has already attracted a strong following of high net-worth individuals from around the globe,’ said DTZ managing director Margaret Thean.

She noted that the recent sales of Malaysia-based YTL Corporation’s Kasara project at Sentosa Cove demonstrates the optimism of market sentiment and confidence in Singapore’s luxury property market, which is expected to be further strengthened with the completion of the developments around the Marina Bay Financial Centre and the two upcoming integrated resorts.

YTL said last week that it has sold six of the 13 villas at Kasara at prices ranging from $14 million to $22 million. This works out to about $1,600 psf on average. Buyers included foreigners from Asia-Pacific and Europe.

The improved sentiment means that potential buyers can expect project launches on the island soon. City Developments is expected to launch its 228-unit luxury project The Quayside Collection soon.

The property group last year announced that it will delay launching the project due to the subdued property market and global economic uncertainty but will proceed with construction.

And Ho Bee Investment could also launch its two remaining Sentosa Cove projects later this year. The group has the 151-unit Seascape as well as Pinnacle Collection, which has some 280 apartments in all, left in its portfolio.

    外国富豪花7500万元买圣淘沙4豪宅
(Overseas tycöön spent S$75 mïllïön to buy 4 Sentosa Cove bungalows)
    高健康
    早报星期天
    星期天, 21-3-2010

圣淘沙名胜世界与环球影城开张(The opening of Resort World Singapore and Universal Studios Singapore),推高岛上私宅的租金与售价(has pushed property prices and rental rates higher)!

    Record $36m for bungalow

Chinese national buys 99-year Sentosa Cove bungalow, complete with berth for yacht

    By Irene Tham

The two-and-a-half-storey bungalow faces a waterway, with a berth for a yacht. It also has a private pool. The house was first sold by its developer Ho Bee in April 2007 for $18.1 million. -- BT FILE PHOTO

A CHINESE national is believed to have set the record price for a bungalow here, forking out a handsome $36 million for a luxury home in Sentosa Cove.
The property in Paradise Island was sold last month in the resale market at $2,403 per sq ft (psf), based on latest Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) caveat records.
The house has a land area of 14,983 sq ft and a built-up area of about 17,000 sq ft.
It is probably the most expensive bungalow in Sentosa Cove in terms of the total amount paid and its per sq ft price, going by URA's caveat records.
At $2,403 per sq ft, it is also possibly the most expensive bungalow in Singapore, property agents say.
Mr Steven Tan, OrangeTee executive director (residential), pointed out that it is also on a 99-year leasehold tenure, unlike many bungalows in prime areas in mainland Singapore like Nassim Hill and the Holland area, which are freehold.

Looks like Sentosa Cove will become the next "high class" Chinatown soon More than 50% occupied by PRCs. Even the recent death is also a PRC.

dun discrimate leh. those lowly workers at least come here to build our homes as construction workers or maids. those super rich anyhow buy houses at sky high prices not supported by valuation mostly are laundering money. and it is not widely reported but many such deals do not get completed. so the sky high prices might be cancelled but no one knows - but it creates euphoria in the market. just look at those recent cancelled deals at hong kong - it was reported because 20 units were cancelled at the same time but there were numerous such cancellations when the so-called superrich run road and do not honour their words. doesn't mean super rich means we should worship them like Gods.

i would rather the "lowly" workers come and complement our workforce than worship the super-rich who make money by some obscure means. to each his own.

This is what i have been trying to tell everyone

Such report strangely and conveniently skip some of our forumers ... who REPORTED the BUYING part .. but NEVER REPORT the DEFAULT or CANCELLATION part of the same condo ...

so obvious that they are one sided reporting right ?? and yet they die die argue that they are not one sided reporting

    sigh
