Hi,

During the recent MC meeting, one of the member actually proposed to build a NEW 24 storey block on the existing open air car park. Technically, it is possible as Cashew Hgts is built at half the designated plot ratio. I think it will be the first in singapore.

Any experts here can share their views on this, is this achievable and how can the existing residents gain from this?

I heard of this before...but takes alot of doing.
Have to finance the new block and the owners must be able/willing to fork out at least the down-payment and interest cost.

I don;t see it happening...even 30k to privatise HUDC estates got so much issue with residents

Huh you mean resident turn developer and and obtain the profit from the sale of the new block?

I thought it's a case of resident invite developer to build and sell, and they take a pie of the profit?
