Actually I might think so too because the position of tower 6 is blocking access to both other 2 towers.

if really T6 starts next year, B@W residents will dread it.

sometimes, it is such a dilemma to get a new launch in a bare "potential" land.

u get capital appreciation if more neighborhood new launches BUT gonna trade-off with noise & dust for owner-occupier when the new "kids" start construction....

that's across the road ma.... steady...
The best scenario is for Woodleigh side to keep its pte enclave, while Bidadari can have EC, DBSS, markets, schools

Even if Woodleigh get new development, i suspect Euro-Asia & Woodleigh park sites... hence 8@W is safe.. hehe

such as chicken rice, nasi brani & fried chicken, further down towards serangoon at the first junction (roti prata also not bad), free parking somemore,
On Macpherson side there's turtle soup, black chicken soup, prawn noodle, bah chor mee, duck rice....
    only minutes away...

1 thing i noted about scala is that it is apt status. Anyway, while a straight line allocation of space is a useful guide it is merely a guide, as there are still other factors to consider (no of levels....).

    What i like about 8@W
    1. close to mrt (pp or woodleigh) and Nexx in future
    2. undergd carpak
    3. n-s orientation of most units
    4. park or open space just across...(in future there could be amenties there)
    5. part of enclave of pte properties.
    6. Layout / flr plan of units are preety decent.

What i feel could be better about 8@W (vested oredi how objective u want me to be )
    1. surrounded by FH or 999 leasehold properties
    2. land space seems a bit small to have 330 units (looking at B@W , only 200+ units)
    3. opposite previous cemetry
    4. The land the salvation army is occupying is actually a good site.
    5. The price

    Default Land parcle opposite 8@W

If i'm not wrong, based on the master plan, the land opposite 8@W has been gazetted for residential development. I wonder how this increase in density (with future development) would impact the other upcoming/existing developments.

    - Very large area -> lots of residential units can be built -> more & more construction
    - strain on existing amenities
    - lost of a nice park, greenery and serenity

No vested interest but looking around that area...

You are correct and you will note that ard woodliegh there is some commercial element. So end of the day it might turn out to another buangkok (ie HDBs with Foodcourt and a small supermkt).

with future developments on Bidadari plot >> more advanced amenities could be envision to serve the higher population density...

As for greenery, hopefully the authorities can keep small pockets of green plots string along to connect to nearby parks (just like PCN from Kallang to Bishan)

Looking forward to the new Masterplan

Indeed this whole place is quite interesting... can develop better but probably not so soon. I'd even explored the whole stretch right up to the PUB building compound on the same side. Someday perhaps that PUB may move out. Surely that large piece of land can also be better developed into something else.

In any case if gotten 8@W at 2009 price, already a winner!

Trevista is real bad. Went in one round the showroom and feel utterly disgusted. Priced too high. Only one thing is good, near MRT. The rest sub standard.

    1/3 up for Tower 8!

And progress should pick-up as the floors from 2nd are typical up to 14th floors.
