More like due to optima is really close to a mrt station. Plus I think that tanah merah mrt. And I think tanah merah mrt is rather valuable as it is an interchange station. Can go to right to pasir ris and also changing airport.[/quote]

    could be....

    other possible factors

    1. more development coming up soon next to Optima (I know commercial site has been mentioned n years liao)

    2. nearby Casa Merah has been doing really well. So there is even more catch up once Optima nearing TOP.

Somehow I dont get this mrt concept selling..

If have to go to CBP/4th Univ then buy Car or take Cab..both cheap
If have to go to city then already tanah merah is too far east.

Either buy near city or buy a car, why buy M$ condo and then go smell stinky people in mrt?

Am kinda not used to smelling people's armpit..

Can some one explain why people wanna buy Optima?
I prefer taking cab to CBP as no ERP, kinda cheap.. unlike city.

U mean u prefer to call a cab everyday to work?

Renters will take mrt to work wat...with or without cars, their wife, kids will take mrt.

Maintaining a car in sg is vy vy ex unlike other countries. And its gona be ex if ur whole family rely only on cabs

Yeah.. Take cab everyday..Never go more than 10$ . No ERP

Yeah.. never think abt family cause am single

If can afford M$ condo can sure afford 150K car.Better than mrt smell..
Have tried few times during peak hour, Jam packed mrt , kinda feel like vomiting from the smell.
Unless MRT becomes less crowded. I would say money spent on car is worth it.

Don't know why people can't shower, use deo.. SMRT should place free deodrant for people

Wow! What a special talent, you can know smelly people just by looking. It must be so hard on you to endure all of us stinky Singaporeans.

What coincidence, I have a special talent too, I know smelly people just by reading. Haha...

    Am not racist..
I was talking more abt the appearaces..The one who loose T-Shirt or shirt and fat are the most stinky to me..

Anyway.. as long as can avoid..All I mean was why someone will pay premium to suffer on MRT..

Even if I have family.. I will prefer to avoid MRT..

MTR during weekdays too crowded and stinky..
During weekend..if u want family time why would you take MRT..

And with more people coming into Singapore its just gonna get worse.

I can understand that you can get tenants..but eventually they would also wouldn't like to suffer in MRT.. if can afford 4-5K rent can sure afford a cab.

Wow.. why are you so sure you know what my mode of transport is? ? I have not even mentioned the MRT once on this thread.

My issue is not with the MRT. My issue is with the rodents and parasites that feed on the kindness and generousity of the Singapore system but bites back with unreasonable criticisms of its people. So are Singaporeans more stinky than the country you come from?

My wife and I have a car each but I prefer to take MRT to work most of the time. My car is only used when I get home or during weekends. Fast becoming a luxury I should not be indulging in.

There are times when it is a tight squeeze on the train and yes, there are times (albeit very rare) that one is standing next to someone that has BO.

I find the MRT convenient, quick and fairly comfortable at most times.

I assume you are a woman since you are so particular about smell. If not, geez, then try to man up.

Default Optima@Tanah Merah to hit $1400 psf....

Optima @ Tanah Merah hits $1,373 psf.

Looking at the construction progress, this project should TOP 2012 early next year.

Do not know what is the subsale market transacting currently. According to many agents, this project should touch $1400psf before year end......

At 1.4k psf, isn't it better to get mymanhattan at 1.1-1.2k psf (i think prices dropped to this level), both next to MRT, mymanhattan with Eastpoint next to it as well? Location is also equally close to CBP and 4th uni etc.

If only the Tanah Merah condos are all on the other side of the road instead. Much more convenient after you exit ECP to get home.

June'12 TOP is highly possible, depending on the situation over the next 7 months or so, those early buyer (without SSD I think) will be doing the sell off - of course using the BR@Central price level as the new benchmark...

expecting more to be put on sales in the next 3 months or so, or all are holding their breath and waiting for the result for the tender result for the Bedok South piece of land (in Feb'12 rite...)?
