Hv a neighbour just shifted out from Summar Gdn, understood, it is very hot for cluster housing, a lot of staircase, the area per floor is very limited, no toilet at every floor, carpark is counted in as part of built in

Well, having lived in one before... I can say the following:-

    1) Young Kids will like it better than older folks. The climbing can be bad.

    2) The split of floors (mine was 5 stories), provides good demarcation and privacy to each member of the family.

    3) Hot. But this is normal for anything that is build on the ground, be it cluster housing, bangalows or semi detached...etc..etc

I haven't been to Springfield, but I personally don't like D'manor. The compound is small and it really define what is cluster housing... Everything is clustered together.

If u can, don't waste time on cluster housing. Get a proper landed where u own the land or a condo with full facilities. Don't get wannabe

Actually in some cases, you do own more land in cluster housing than equivalent sized landed property. I have ever come across a 4 house cluster development project where 4 units sit on 13000 sq ft of land, so if they go enbloc, each unit actually owns 3500 sq ft of land, not bad considering they are basically terrace houses.

I guess $1.2m does not give much choice in landed properties, so D'manor and Springfield may be the only few choices.
