    Default tiong bahru estate private (99yrs) left abt 55yrs as of 2010

    dear ppl,
    any views on these type of property ? these r conservation houses.

    views like 1) prices holding or go up ?
    2) loan ?

    pls feel free to add any other views....thk u

    The area is surrounded by very tall residential blocks which blocks off wind. It is very hot from late morning to late evening. No lift so when you grow older it will become a problem.

    Unless you plan to buy there live there die there don't bother. Those owners should have sold off 5 years ago, as now the target segment drastically reduced due to cpf cant use full.

    strictly comparing the 3 bed 850k 1200sq ft with the same sized 5rm flat hdb high rise which just turned 5 year old, i'd rather get the hdb across the road for the same price even though the latter is at an all time high record for 5rm flats in singapore.

    What so good about conservation house that render a 850k price tag? What is the cash quantum we referring? Generally Low cash with high rental yield can attract investor and indirectly price can hold.

    Nah... old folks can't use it

    Young guys wdon't like it.

    This will take the rare few who can appreciate it to buy it.

    A classic car example, buy it only if u can afford it better than the rest and like to keep it.

    Wat happen when it completed 99 years? It cannot be torn down to rebuilt then wat happens to them? Curious to know.

    i prob wont live to the day it happens but my guess is MIW take bk and resell it to make $$$$

    This is totally not cheap at all

    I would have expected the prices to be about 650k and 450k at best

    It was $550k there about a few years ago. History man.. little upside as you can see when others fly higher and much sought after.

    No chance on enblock also. SERS? Not sure.
