Thanks everyone for the support! Find A Home Loan is Standard Chartered #1 broker in 2013.
Overseas financing not subjected to SG laws? Eg. if buy a OZ property, only only LTV 40% if it's 2nd property?
I saw this as well and they only finance UK and Australia property which is not my interests. UOB website did mention something about International Home Loan but when I called them, they said they no longer finance overseas property.Originally Posted by newbie11
SG banks are subjected to MAS rullings, so even for overseas ppty will since be 80/60 LTV i think.
Thanks for this, but which bank provides home loan for overseas property? Been calling a few banks and they said they don't do so.Originally Posted by may2012
Try Ocbc. Got my loan fm them for aus. 70% loan.Originally Posted by Desperado1967
try HSBC...I think they offer at least to UK
This is the easiest if u have at least $200k. Opemn a hsbc premier acct, with that u can instantly open hsbc acct in otger countries and proceed with loan application.
OCBC only provide finance for overseas property in Australia or UK, haven't try HSBC yet and will do so tomorrow. I am comtemplating in purchasing a property in Thailand or Malaysia.
Malaysia prop quite easy to loan from msia bank. But usually not more than 70% loan.Originally Posted by Desperado1967
For malaysia, there are many banks, very aggressive, CIMB, UOB, etcOriginally Posted by Desperado1967
rate is around 4.2%. But beware of Malaysia properties...if u can, post it here for us to assess.
Thailand : interesting...
Not matter how, u must visit first
I am also keen on Bangkok props. Share info here if you decide or eyeing on something good. Maybe can do group buy.
But bangkok is sinking.Originally Posted by mygeemeel

OCBC, SCB & HSBC... Depending on whether they have operations in your country of interest
In addition, shld try "local banks" in the respective country, eg. Thai Bangkok/Siam commercial bank, Aussie NAB/CBA/ANZ
But china... we can buy meh??
